The Saudi Film Forum 2025 continues its creative movement with quality knowledge and investment programs that enhance the national film industry
Riyadh, 01 Jumada Al-Awwal 1447 AH, corresponding to October 23, 2025 AD (SPA): The Saudi Film Forum 2025 through KSA Development Authority (KSADA), continues its activities with the participation of a select group of filmmakers and creatives from within the Kingdom and abroad. The forum offers an interactive space that combines creativity and knowledge, addressing specialized topics in the fields of investment, intellectual property, and artificial intelligence. More than 60 speakers and trainers are participating through 30 specialized sessions and workshops. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Qahtani, CEO of the Film Commission, affirmed that the Kingdom's current development in the film industry is a result of Vision 2030 and its broad horizons, which have contributed to building an attractive cinematic environment through collaboration between Saudi talent and local and international partners. He pointed out that the forum embodies the Kingdom's commitment to developing an integrated film industry that brings together talent, investors, and partners from around the world, highlighting it as a leading center for filmmaking in the Middle East. KSA Development Authority (KSADA) is participating in the forum with an informational booth that welcomes entrepreneurs and investors to learn about the KSADA's programs and investment opportunities. The booth also offers consultative sessions to guide those working in the film industry, helping them to enhance the growth of their projects and support their entrepreneurial capabilities. Additionally, there will be panel discussions in the main theater exploring how to transform the film industry into an economically attractive investment asset. A "Film Talk" session will feature entrepreneurs who have benefited from the Fund, sharing their inspiring experiences and visions for the current state and future of cinema. The accompanying exhibition will showcase five outstanding projects by entrepreneurs in the sector, highlighting the diversity of ideas and the quality of production. Furthermore, the KSA Development Authority (KSADA) for Intellectual Property launched its Intellectual Property Guide for the Film Sector during the forum. This guide aims to enhance practitioners' awareness of intellectual property rights, foster a culture of creativity, preserve intellectual capital, and support sustainability in the national film industry, while also protecting a fair and encouraging environment that ensures a competitive landscape. The guide targets filmmakers, including cinematographers, designers, screenwriters, directors, production managers, performance artists, modeling artists and sound producers. It addresses intellectual property rights in the film industry, mechanisms for protecting various types of intellectual property, and ways to address violations and related disputes
